Configure Language Translations
Configure language translations to provide translated menu text, menu items, and help text in Everyday User Applications. Each language translation that you configure adds a language option for translated content.
Prepare Language Translation Files
EMS provides a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for EMS Web App that contains application labels, page titles, system messages, and error messages in English. Use this spreadsheet to provide translated values for the supported application text.
-
Complete the EMS Web App translation spreadsheet with the translated values for the target language.
-
Provide the completed spreadsheet to EMS Software. EMS Software compiles the translated values into the language files required by EMS Web App.
-
Add the language files to the App_GlobalResources folder in the EMS Web App physical directory on your web server.
The default location is:
C:\inetpub\wwwroot\emswebapp\App_GlobalResources\
EMS does not translate data that you configure or enter in the application, such as event types, room types, event names, comments, or special instructions. Provide translations for this content separately as needed.
